Welcome to the Wonderful World of Cycling!
Over the past twenty years or so, bicycles and cycling have improved as much as
personal computing. To list just a few of these significant innovations, new
gossamer frame materials allow much lighter and easier-to-pedal bikes; shifting
systems have become user-friendly with intuitive controls and silky-smooth
operation; many two-wheelers now sport amazing brakes that utilize automotive
technology for optimum control and power; modern bicycle seats pamper your
posterior with space-age cushioning materials and anatomic designs; and many of
today’s bikes boast sophisticated suspension systems that tame tough trails and
potholed pavement, providing an ultra-comfortable ride.
While we think of these developments as great enhancements to our favorite
activity, we also realize that for someone just getting into cycling, all this
technology can be overwhelming. Likewise, if it’s been some time since you rode
a bike, or if you’re getting into biking from a simpler sport, such as running,
you may feel a bit intimidated the first time you visit our store and see all
the equipment we have to offer.
Don’t be. We’re here to help and there’s nothing we enjoy more than introducing
you to our store and the innovations and improvements in bicycles. Keep in mind
that we were all beginners at one time, too, and we remember what it’s like to
get started. We can help you get the right equipment and ensure you get maximum
enjoyment out of it. We can show you how to avoid the common mistakes we made as
beginners. And, we'll clue you in on the best places to ride, too.
We have a friendly staff that's delighted to answer any questions you have. In
our store, there’s truly no such thing as a “stupid question.” So, come on into
the store, e-mail us or give us a call and we’ll do our best to help. What’s
more, we’ve loaded this website with information about us, our products and
cycling so that you may access what you need even when our store is closed.
